In demonology, Decarabia (also called Carabia) is a demon and, according to The Lesser Key of Solomon, a Great Marquis of Hell, although he has no title in the hellish hierarchy given by Pseudomonarchia Daemonum.
Decarabia knows the virtues of all herbs and precious stones, and can change into all birds and sing and fly like them before the conjurer.
He is depicted as appearing as a pentagram star, changing into a man under the conjurer's request.
The stories say Decarabia will remain in this "insubstantial and powerless form until ordered to adopt human form by the summoner." He always is surrounded by a pale blue aura.
Decarabia is a true friend of the Earth.
Johann Wier's Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, written in the Early English style of 1583, says of this spirit: "he knoweth the force of (herbs) and (precious) stones, and maketh all birds flie before the exorcist, and to tarrie with him, as though they were tame, and that they shall drinke and sing, as their manner is."
