In Pittsburgh in the Autumn, when the clouds are puffy and the humidity is low wnough that everything is crisp, a sunset will often cast gorgeous persimmon colors onto the underside of those clouds, leaving a violet sky beyond.
We had one day where the smoke was bad and filtering the light and it was REALLY eerie, and quite scary given we were on evacuation alert.

NEW YORK: NYPA Fuel Cells Will Help Clean City's Air—As part of a $23 million program to offset emissions of air pollutants, the Power Authority is planning to install eight fuel cells at four wastewater treatment plants in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
The program, approved by the Rochester City Council in December, will focus on renovations that will help to improve illumination while using less electricity.
The 90-feet-high box-shaped crane, just overhauled, lifts and transports components, including 595-ton generator rotors, from the plant's 13 turbine-generators for repairs and an ongoing multiyear upgrade.

I just finished squishing (cooled) baked sweet potatoes out of their skins so that tomorrow I can put together a sweet potato thing (it's kind of like an apple crisp, but with sweet taters?).
We are making the family recipes for cookies, one kind which is called "the ones with the powdered sugar on top", another kind called "the chocolate ones," and of course "the pecan ones." All three have been present at every Christmas of my life and are deeelicious.

The four major labels -- Vivendi Universal, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, EMI Group Plc (news - web sites) and privately held Warner Music -- have recently begun to license their songs to a new generation of online services as a way to slash distribution costs and reach out to fans.
Since the RIAA doesn't have to have any proof when they file their claims, it's all really confusing.
I think Apple used some of those sued by the RIAA to promote their iTunes Music Store.
