	Savage (rapper) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Savage is the stage name of New Zealand rapper, Demetrius Savelio who is well known in New Zealand, as a member of hip-hop group Deceptikonz, his vocals on Scribe's song, "Not Many - The Remix" and his own successful solo career.
		Born in South Auckland, New Zealand on June 28th 1981 Demetrius Savelio enjoyed hip hop music from a young age it was in these days that he got his stage name, “Back in the days when I was bustin’ to my friends, one of them said I sounded like a savage.
		Released in March 2002 the Deceptikonz album, Elimination surprised everyone by reaching #4 on the New Zealand Top 40 albums chart and spawning the song "Fallen Angels"

		The Unibar was buzzing, and almost packed out within half an hour of doors opening and opening act Frontline played a tight set that was well-received, though when Scribe came out for a brief appearance onstage, it was clear that the crowd was waiting to see him take the stage for his solo set.
		Mareko is one of New Zealand's top freestylers, and when the similes and punchlines started coming, it became obvious to all present exactly why he's held in such regard.
		I was disappointed that P-Money couldn't make it out for this leg of the tour, especially as he has a new album out soon, but this was made up for by the exceptional support acts.

		T-Minus was a veteran of the previous battle for supremacy and this guys has a nice flow, he used it to blow away Spooksta but not before the spooky one delivered a few good verbal barbs of his own.
		DECEPTIKONZ iv'e only heard FALLEN ANGELS and am waiting on more tracks before i think about getting the albumn but the single is good.

		I made four remixes in three days and Touch Somethin' was the one that stood out, I was real happy with it and Money said he dug it.
		I always liked the original, the Deceptikonz kill it on the vocal and Money's beat was bangin'.
		I've done a couple of beats for Mareko for his upcoming album 'White Sunday', a few beats for Scribe for his album 'The Crusader' and a beat for the Deceptikonz for their next album, as well as stuff for a Soul Projects/Holla release later this year.

		Deceptikonz have broken new ground for NZ hiphop.
		deceptikonz are the shit...stop drop and roll mean song...mareko mean dude man lovin it big time guys...soufcyde represent!!
		Were as in the "Swing" video, the dark section just seems to want to show that even though he was wearing pastels and physically dominated by women in the earlier clip, that Savage is actually still rool hardcore.

		Hot off the back of the successful Deceptikonz tour and Scribe lead ‘Stand Up’ tour, [CHE FU] and his band – The Krates will head to Australia in late Nov. for a national tour featuring special guests… Mareko and Savage of the Deceptikonz, who will be backed by DJ Peter Gunz!
		Che Fu and The Krates are currently working on a new album, which will be showcased in this upcoming tour (along with tracks from ‘Navigator’ and ‘2 B S. Pacific’) that sees only three Australian shows played on Fri.
