A repeating decimal, also called a recurring decimal, is a number whose decimal representation eventually becomes periodic (i.e., the same sequence of digits repeats indefinitely).

This is also a bit off topic, but is does seem to refelect a difference (another one!) between the English speaking and the rest of the world.
In the English speaking part there is an overwhelming use of a 'point' as a decimal separator.
Likewise, a 'comma' is used as a thousands separator.

In Sweden, the "correct" standard is to use decimal comma whenever there's a decimal number, regardles on what it represent.
Although looking at it from the general public standpoint a comma for a decimal point is just plain strange.
Neither decimal point nor decimal comma is really better, but I'd like to see global standardization (including everyone using the SI system and a date/time format

I presume that it is a case of.NET storing the decimal with a placeholder or a decimal point, but when it is given to the CommandText the value is converted to show a decimal comma (which causes MySql to crash).

I Sweden we use comma as the decimal seperator and I think this is the case in other countries as well.
I would like to use the comma and use the decimal tab to have figures correctly justified on top of each other in columns.
I'm sorry; In PP10 decimal tabs only use decimal points, not commas.

Hello cavers, because here in good ol' Germany we use the comma as decimal separator I tried the *set decimal comma command in Survex 0.96.
I think the problem is caused by the comma already defined as "white space" character in Survex which threads the 5,18 from the example above as two numbers 5 and 18 instead of one number 15.8.
My next attempt was re-defining the blank character using *set blank SpaceTab one line above the *set decimal Comma line but now Survex complains "Testloch.svx:7: Character ' not allowed in station name (use *SET NAMES to set allowed characters) cavern: No survey data".

 Bug ID: 6348509 German Localisation Bug with javax.swing.table
The float numbers are displayed correct in the table fields with a german decimal comma instead of the decimal point.
But if I want to change the number in a table field interactively, the decimal comma changes to a decimal point and the program expects me to enter a decimal point instead of a decimal comma.
Can´t get the program displaying and expecting as input a decimal comma, which would be correct.

But admittedly, this is to address other-than-base-10 issues rather than the actual glyph used (radix comma???).

When the client machine uses English settings (for numbers), everything is OK but when the same application is used on a machine using non-english numbers (Like French), the decimal part of the number is removed before its presented to the application.
Set the settings to use a comma as a decimal separator as done in the French system (for example 3,45).
I built a small graphical application with Borland Builder C++ and the float numbers were showed correctly with the comma decimal separator.

My kids used the comma system while going to school in the french program so I'm aware of its existence though I find it less easy to read.

Is it possible for vectordraw to understand "," as decimal separator in commands?
If you want to change that, then when the user writes a value in your command prompt like "3,1415927" then filter this text, replace the "," with the "." and using the post command string pass the "3.1415927" to VectorDraw.
