		In the fictional universe of Star Trek, the Defiant class of starship is a variety of space-faring vessel used by Starfleet.
		The USS Defiant was equipped with a Romulan cloaking device in exchange for intelligence on missions to the gamma quadrant.
		The pathfinder of its class, the Defiant was assigned to the space station Deep Space Nine in 2371 for protection against the growing threat from the Cardassians and the Dominion.

		Whether the Defiant is or is not the most powerfull warship of the Federation is meaningless, what on the other hand matters is that it still isnt simply fast enough, accurate enough and packing the right type weapons to destroy the Slave 1.
		Also remember that the defiant prototype was so powerful it blew itselfup, but the USS Defiant and USS Sao Paulo (now also the USS Defiant) have been agjusted by the legendary Miles O'Brien.
		Defiant didn't "blow itself up", it was destroyed by the effects of the Breen energy-dampening weapon that it was struck by, even while in the process of destroying that Breen starship.
