	Deicide
		Deicide literally means "God-killing" (Latin Deus, "God" + -cida, "killing") and usually refers to the execution of Christ by crucifixion.
		The Jews, as a race, were alleged by Christians to have a special responsibility for this crime and to have been cursed by God for it, and until the middle of the 20th century even the mainstream churches included references to deicide in their hymns and liturgy.
		Deicide (band) is also the name of a death metal band from Florida.

		DEICIDE frontman Glen Benton was "hammered and/or stoned out of his mind" during the band's headlining performance on the first day of the Aalborg Metal Festival 2005 in Aalborg, Denmark last Friday (Nov. 4), resulting in "one of the most embarrassing performances I've been witness to," according to one review.
		The band also began to tour excessively, ignoring bomb threats from radical animal rights groups perturbed by Benton's professed hobby of shooting squirrels in his backyard (not to mention those live shows where animal organs were dumped on the audience), and getting themselves banned from clubs, boycotted from magazines, and fllisted by Christian groups.
		Deicide may not be the most technical or "intelligent" of death metal bands, but they construct riffs that are both creative and catchy (at least for their time).

		Not say that the band did not put on a good show, because they did, it is just a shame that the venue was practically empty by the time the band took the stage at around 9:00 pm.
		This band is comfortable taking a walk on the dark side as they cite bands like Cryptopsy, Kalmah, Cult of Luna, Morbid Angel, and Deicide as some of their influences.

		Feasting the Beast is a collection of 2 demo's recorded by Deicide back when they went under the name of Amon, one from 1989 and the other from 1987.

		Fans used to the more polished death metal bands such as Entombed or Arch Enemy will probably be turned away by this, but give it a go and man, the brilliance will grow on you, trust me. An essential release for any fans of Deicide or death metal in general.
