Deja Vu (video game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Deja Vu:A Nightmare Come True is a "point-and-click" adventure game set in the world of 1940's hard-boiled detective novels and movies.
The engine was re-used in a later sequel "Deja Vu 2: Lost In Las Vegas", as well as in Shadowgate and Uninvited.
This game and its sequel are considered by some fans to be the most difficult of ICom's games.

Deja Vu is a Nintendo game by Icom Simulations, Inc., in which the character has lost his memory and must solve the mystery of his identity.
The setting of the game is apparently a U.S. city, circa December 8, 1941, judging by a headline seen at a newstand midway through the game.
If the character dies too many times, however, the game is deleted and the player must restart from the beginning.

Brady was voted the game's MVP for the second time in three seasons, although he did suffer a second-half interception that prevented New England from winning more easily.
Before the game, played in the city that is home to the nation's space program, there was a tribute to NASA and the crew of the shuttle Columbia, which broke up over Texas exactly one year ago.
Carolina tied the game at 29 with its third fourth-quarter TD on a 12-yard pass from Jake Delhomme to Ricky Proehl with 1:08 left.

The game is worth the first deja vu alone, but it even comes with a second one.

At the end of the first game, the mysterious General Sturm was setting the Lucky Charms-esque nations of Cosmoland against one another, and was ultimately defeated.
Contributing to this feeling of déjà vu are the games graphics, which are more or less exactly the same as those of the first game -- there aren't any new effects, the animations aren't better, and most of the art is exactly the same.
Advance Wars 2 is still a great game, and better than the first in all of the important ways, but the impact is lessened by the similarity to the first game.

 Exertainment System
For the games released for the system, the faster you pedal, the faster your video game counterpart goes, which makes sense.
Games had to be specifically designed for the system, so you couldn't just pop in F-Zero and start pedaling, though you probably could play the game using just the controls on either side of the U-shaped handlebar.
Nintendo acknowledged that playing the game, where control is very important, with the controllers on the handlebar might be difficult since the player's hands would be sweaty, and that's probably why the game didn't happen.

 Unreleased NES Games
The basic game is similar to the Super NES version, but the maps are different and many of the characters behave differently or have different abilities than those in the Super NES game.
The game is unusual in its requirement that the driver/player shift the gears (there are no less than six gears in the drag racing part of the game) and in the use of two unique graphic elements: the Dynamic Trailing window and the MB Helicam.
The game seems to be loosely based on the arcade game of the same name, with an added RPG type map.

Like Shadowgate, the game is made up of different rooms, each chock full of objects that may or may not aid you in your quest.
While the game is an improvement over its predecessor on a technical level, it still has its share of glitches (there are some objects which you can only pick up by positioning the pointer cursor just so).
To end the game, you have to successfully take the right medications to restore your memory, and dispose of certain pieces of incriminating evidence before you take your story to the police.

Though still images give the impression that the game will look decent, the truth is that the lack of colors, the animation, and the severe sprite repetition serve as an all-out affront to one's senses.
Similarly, the game's background music is appropriate, but since a new one doesn't kick in until you reach a later level, gut-wrenching repetition sets in quickly.
Furthermore, the game's password save system requires you to reach the end of a level before it offers you the ability to rejoin the quest, almost forcing a person to play the game.

The game is played from a third-person perspective and revolves around slashing, jumping, and kicking your way through a series of 3D environments.
Unfortunately, playstation games are lacking in graphic representation (think South Park animation) and therefore this game was a little short of being the gem I had hoped it would be.
I don't take these games too seriously, so this makes a great stress reliever for me. Xena is no tomb raider, but if you are looking for some fun, this would definitely qualify.

Déja VU: Video game juggernaut Keith Robinson, one of those responsible for reviving Mattel's vintage Intellivision games for PC/Mac, enjoyed the weird and special thrill of buying the new PlayStation version, dubbed "Intellivision Classics," from a display inside Frye's Electronics on Rosecrans.
Obviously Robinson is happy that PlayStation picked up the Intellivision games, and that the new version is out in stores.
But on top of that, the Fry's building has special significance -- it used to be owned by Mattel, and that's where Robinson and his cohorts worked to create the original Intellivision games way back in 1983...
