The town planning and zoning committee recommended the rezoning be approved by the town board conditioned upon provision that if the necessary federal and state agency approval and permits and favorable groundwater test results were not obtained within eighteen months the zoning would revert back to Agricultural District.
Town granted the property owners a conditional use permit for one year for one year in 1995 (subsequently extended until August 31, 1998) to live in an outbuilding while the principal residence was being built.
Town also authorized the expenditure of over $600,000 in town tax revenues for the development and construction of waste and sewerage piping with the intent that it serve both this parcel and over 1500 additional acres of land in the town.

I use "Delafield" in concert with "Death of a Dream" and a number of globalization videos in my anthropology classes at Metro State in St. Paul.
Although I live far away now I still remember the Delafield Church where I was baptized, confirmed and married, I was there for the closing and it was an emotional experience.
