| | The Delamere Forest Incident |
 | | We found ourselves being dropped off at a roundabout a few miles away from Delamere Forest and decided, as there was little traffic about at that hour, to plod on, walking the starlit road toward the forest, ever vigilant for traffic going in our direction in the hope of a lift. |
 | | To say I was excited would be a gross understatement, because whatever my everyday consciousness thought of this event, it was being over ridden by a curiosity of a type I had never experienced before, nor indeed have I in the thirty odd years since. |
 | | So, I walked slowly through the forest road, a strange calm had beset me and I was oblivious to the daylight creeping slowly across the sky until I emerged on the other side. |
