  Turistička zajednica grada Delnica
The facilities, along with the nearby chair lift, were the very cornerstones of tourism in Delnice at that time.
However, in the recent past the entire place was left untended, and it had to be pulled down in the late 1990's.
Polane (950 m), meaning the pastures, is today a weekend resort, but in the past it used to be a summer (seasonal, periodical) settlement for the people of Delnice, who bred their livestock and farmed the land in a traditional migratory manner.

There is a Catholic Church at Delnice that survived the war, and still has records available, but I don't have the address, shouldn't be hard to find though.

I tried to ride east to Delnice, Croatia today, planning to head north from Delnice into Slovenia and on through Kocevje, but I failed.
After climbing north or of Rijeka - "along the river" - which really meant along the side of the river gorge ;-), I found "no bicycles" signs on the road I had planned to use.
At the same point that I found that road, there was a road signed for Ljubljana and heading up into the mountains, so I took that one.

The best and most popular ascent points to start climb to Bjelolasica by foot are: Tuk Mrkopaljski (3 km from Mrkopalj, 25 km from Delnice), Begovo Razdolje (6 km from Mrkopalj) and Vrelo (27 km from Ogulin) and the foot of the mountain itself.
The nearest meteo-station for Bjelolasica is Ogulin, and partially Delnice.
But be aware that Ogulin is at the edge of Velika Kapela group and sometimes the weather can differ here from that in Bjelolasica which lies in the heart of the mountain group.
