There are two Pinnacle Mountains in Canada, one in Quebec and this one of the Canadian Rockies.

Wardens believe the climbers came close to reaching the summit of Super Couloir on Mount Deltaform, a 4,000-foot climb on a mountain that is part of the group of peaks forming the Valley of the Ten Peaks, southwest of Moraine Lake.
The experienced climbers had planned to leave for the climb on Thursday afternoon, spend the evening near the base and start their climb at midnight so they could complete it while the face of the mountain was the most stable.
Because of the steepness of the face, even a small bit of snow moving may be enough to knock a climber off their feet on this difficult alpine route.

Deltaform, peak eight in the Valley of the Ten Peaks and also known by its First Nations' name of Saknowa, is the only one of this group to exceed 11,000'.
It is a spectacular mountain and offers a variety of mountaineering problems and challenges.
It was first climbed in July of 1903 by A. Eggers and H.C. Parker, who were guided by the Kaufmann brothers; their route took the S ridge from Prospector's Valley, but it is unlikely that this approach is followed today with any frequency.

Today, Borgh was discovered after a fall on Mt. Deltaform near Lake Louise--his climbing partner Gabe Coler survived, and by all accounts miraculously.
Deltaform is a notorious peak, one which has claimed 5 lives in the past two decades, including Bogh.
After legendary skier and big mountain guide Doug Coombs died accidentally falling off a cliff last month, and another horrible avalanche incident took snowboard pioneer Tommy Brunner with it last week, Seattlest feels like the snow and mountains are opening up and swallowing those who love them most right now.
