Demetrio Albertini (born August 23, 1971 in Besana in Brianza) is an Italian football (soccer) midfielder, who currently is without team, (as August 31) after play for FC Barcelona of the Spanish Liga but spent most of his career with AC Milan of Serie A.
Albertini was at Milan from 1988 to 2002, sharing in the club's multiple triumphs.
After leaving Milan, Albertini has been bouncing around different teams; he spent 2002-03 with Atlético Madrid, 2003-04 with Lazio, and started 2004-05 with Atalanta before transferring to Barcelona in January.
