The Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria (Demokrati za Silna Balgarija) is a political party in Bulgaria established by former Bulgarian Prime Minister Ivan Kostov (1997-2001).
Simeon Sakskoburggotski as Prime Minister of Bulgaria Simeon Borisov Sakskoburggotski (Симеон Сакскобурготски), formerly Tsar Simeon II of Bulgaria, (born June 16, 1937) was the last Tsar of Bulgaria from 1943 to 1946, and is the current Prime Minister of Bulgaria.
Kostov and the DSB are outspoken opponents of the Bulgarian Socialist Party whom they regard as the heir to the totalitarian Bulgarian Communist Party, and of ex-Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha who is accused, very much like Kostov was, of corruption.

Bulgaria's Parliament adopted at first reading the budget bill for next year with the votes of 128 MPs from the ruling coalition and the maverick Novoto Vreme (New Time) political party.
The parliamentary groups of left-wing Socialist Party, the right-wing Union of Democratic Party and the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria as well as the People's Union voted against the bill (104).
The agreement reached by the three parliamentary groups envisages an additional BGN 135 M to be allotted for financing Bulgaria's education and science.

AFTER splitting into many factions, the right-wing parties have entered a new phase in negotiations about getting back together, leaving only Ivan Kostov’s Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) behind.
On March 10 the BAPU-PU, the IMRO and the UFD sent the UtDF a letter inviting UDF leader Nadezhda Mihailova, who represents the coalition, to a meeting.
In spite of several meetings among the agrarian unions, the most recent being held this past week, the BAPU-PU and the BAPU-United could not reach a clear common position and their unification remained in question.
