Demonology 101 is a generally serious natured comic consisting of a small occult pertained family and their circle of friends.
Demonology 101 shows definite potential, and I do get the impression, it could be something fairly excellent someday if the art is tightened up a bit, and the plot is made more intriguing, as opposed to simply being about intrigue.
Demonology 101 has been mentioned to me in passing, but this is the first time I tried to sit down and read it.

 CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Demonology
Perhaps the first fact that strikes one who approaches the study of this subject is the astonishing universality and antiquity of demonology, of some belief in the existence of demons or evil spirits, and of a consequent recourse to incantations or other magical practices.
The rabbinical demonology of the Talmud and Midrashim is very far from the reticence and sobriety of the canonical writings in regard to this subject.
Throughout the Christian Middle Ages the external systems of demonology among the uncultured races or in the ancient civilizations of the East continued their course, and may still be found flourishing in the home of their origin or in other lands.

Demonlogy 101 is about Raven, a high school student who also happens to be a demon.
Demonology 101 manages not to do that, giving a decent amount of time to Raven's relationship to her friends and to her guardian--not to mention a bit of the feel of high school.
Demonology 101 wraps up storylines, has a climax and moves merrily on to the finish.

 Ghostbusting and Demonology 101
The History of Demonology is one that is quite unclear before 1160 B.C., however writings from Wolfram von Eschenbach (1170B.C.-1220B.C.) state that Magic was first concieved in a city called Persida and that a Nomad named Klingsor traveled there and brought back with him the art of Magically effecting whatever he wished.
When Klingsor found the strength of his true powers he began to brag about how sly and cunning he was to get women into bed, but that served him no justice after he got caught sleeping with the kings wife (The Queen).
Even though thousands of people died a horrible death, it inspired many Demonologists to continue there work but trying hard not to get caught, however the Art of Demonology Died Off after the end of that era and was only carried on by a hand full of Theologians.

Sequential Tart - The Report Card
Demonology 101 focuses on a seemingly "normal" girl named Raven, who, as it turns out, is actually a 16-year-old demon who's been adopted by the human Gabriel Jenner.
Raised in isolation, Raven is understandably eager to join the outside world; as someone who has been constantly shuffled around by the forces of good and evil for most of her life, she hasn't had many opportunities to socialize.
Demonology 101 definitely reads better in episodes than in individual pages (sometimes installments can leave off at frustrating places), but such is the danger of involving yourself in a serial comic.

However, the most fascinating aspect of Demonology 101 is its sense of evolution, of both the plot lines and the characters.
Perhaps it's because the main character, her two closest friends, and even a few of her enemies, are teenagers, going through a part of life that's in constant flux, with growth as a metabolic requirement.

I warn you though, Demonology has a very intricate plotline and in-depth characters, so do not start reading it unless you intend to finish (four and a half LONG chapters so far).
Demonology is very reminiscent of Japanese mangas (I'm pretty sure it's a big word for Comic Books) in look and feel, but in other ways, it is your typical special-person-saving-others plot line.

It is this mode (in full effect in this collection in stories like "Drawer" and "Boys") that gives many readers of Moody trouble; it is true that he can be a difficult read at times, but it's a price well worth paying for the reward his stories often carry at their end.
Demonology, however, is cursed with such a cloud.
Though the narrator is the surviving sibling, he removes himself from the story, placing the focus squarely on his dead sister; it's a nice twist that she becomes present by her absence, alive in memory.

the problem with expositions of "Demonology 101" such as this one is that they don't present the complete context or character of their analysis.
as I began, my criticism of this demonology post is primarily that it derives from a perspective of religious bias and is prone, therefore, to be used as a bludgeon against competing religions and gods to which the faithful seek its use.

Most adults are aware that if people who preside over legislative bodies sense public apathy, they may abandon their responsibility to govern for the good of the people and in worse case scenarios begin using their positions in power for their own elitist or even occultist aspirations.
If this is allowed to continue via the public and/or lawmakers turning a blind eye, the result can be, according to demonology and select case studies, the regional increase of evil supernaturalism.
