  Denbigh Castle
Essentially, Denbigh Castle was assembled during two phases, the first of which included the rapid construction of rather insubstantial outer defenses along the southern and western sides.
Denbigh's terraces also impeded undermining of the poorly constructed first phase towers that lined this side of the curtain.
Whether or not the structure was ever completed, Denbigh Castle was sturdy enough to endure attacks during the Wars of the Roses and the English Civil War.

 Denbigh's Boiler
Although Denbigh was noted for her high speed in civilian service, by the time she was running the blockade in 1864-65 she was known on both sides as a relatively slow ship, depending on stealth and daring more than speed.
The introduction of superheated steam to marine powerplants was very new in 1860, and its use aboard Denbigh is an important indicator of the builder’s willingness to invest in the most advanced, up-to-date technologies of the period.
Denbigh’s tubular superheater is broken and partially collapsed into the main body of the boiler, but it appears to be very similar to Parson’s superheater, introduced the year after Denbigh was built.

Immediately following the capture of the Welsh stronghold, on the 16 October 1282 the campaign commander in the district, Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln was given direction to build Denbigh Castle by King Edward I. The troubled state of affairs in the early 1400's was not resolved during the Wars of the Roses.
Denbigh castle and lordship, which had long been in the hands of the Mortimer family, was to become one of the main centres of support for the dukes of York and the Yorkist cause in Wales.
Under the Tudors, particularly Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, there were regular surveys made to assess costs of repair and to determine whether in time of peace these castles were necessary to the Crown or whether they should be sold or demolish to save costs.

 History Of Inuit Art
Circa 2500 B.C. to 900/800 B.C. The Denbigh Flint Complex was discovered and named by J. Louis Giddings, the American archaeologist, and covered a span of about 1500 years in the area of the Bering Sea coast of Alaska.
The artifacts uncovered by Giddings suggest that the Denbigh people were nomadic hunters who moved with the seasons, hunting seal and probably walrus, and surely taking advantage of the abundance of fish readily available to them.
The Denbigh people were highly skilled in making flint and obsidian tools such as harpoon heads, side blades and points for setting into arrow shafts and spears.
