  Dendrophilia - Wiki Gonzalez
Dendrophilia is not in the Encarta dictionary, but it is in the OED (http://dictionary.oed.com/) under the "dendro" prefix.
Dendrophilia first came up in post #17 of the "Mike Piazza is/is not gay" thread (NYPOST.COM Gossip: In and out with the Mets (http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/newsstand/discussion/nypostcom_gossip_in_and_out_with_the_mets/)) of May 21, 2002.
In the John Mabry-Jeremy Giambi thread the very next day, it was widely accepted the trade was made not because Billy Beane wanted Mabry, but because he didn't want Giambi.

Lust Magazine - Dendrophilia   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
Originating from the Greek word dendron (tree), Dendrophilia is the sexual attraction to trees, or the worship of them as part of fertility rites.
Dendrophilia also applies to sexual attraction to objects made from trees, such as dildoes carved from wood.
Other, less painful-sounding methods adopted by those who lust after nature also include wrapping large leaves around the penis as a masturbating sleeve, brushing leafy branches or vines against the body for stimulation, or using the crevices or squirrel-holes found in trees for the obvious insertion purposes.

There is a fetish called "dendrophilia", which translates roughly into "tree-loving".
I think that the literal translation of the word, "dendrophilia," does in fact, apply to myself, although i would probably alter the word, to include *all* members of the plant-kingdom, and not solely "trees".
I came to realise i was green-kin, through my interactions with a lover who is green himself.

Baseball Prospectus | Articles | Lies, Damned Lies: PECOTA Takes on Prospects, Wrap-up
"Milledge Fillmore" has a nominally higher ceiling than Pustin Dendrophilia; he has a 5% chance of being a 50 RAA player at his peak, whereas Dendropilia has none.
But the overall upside profile of Dendrophilia is much more attractive.
Looking solely at "ceiling," to invoke the Lies, Damned Lies Poker Analogy of the Week, is like concluding that 3-2 of clubs is a better poker hand than Ace-King offsuit because 3-2 suited can make a straight flush (using both cards), while the Ace-King cannot.

Of all the snakes I've had in the past, Boiga dendrophilia was the only one I had, that wouldn't do squat with the lights on.
I would put a live rat pup into her enclosure and she wouldn't go after it until the lights were out.
