		Dennis Decker (November 15, 1942 - December 20, 1997) was a martial artist who taught Chi Lin in the United States.
		At this time, Master Decker taught at a Karate school in Edgewater, where he instructed local martial artists.
		Dennis Decker died of a heart attack in the morning at about 8am.

		Decker spent 37 years working for the U.S. Corps of Engineers, many of them as a crewman on the Thompson, clearing navigation channels up and down the Mississippi and some of its tributary rivers.
		Now retired, Decker was asked by Winona businessman Bud Baechler to serve on the board of the Maritime Heritage Society, a group formed to try to acquire the Thompson from the government when it is retired in the next two years and bring it to a permanent home on the Winona waterfront.
		Decker began working on the Thompson in 1966 as a mess attendant in the galley, one of a 66-member crew.
