		Dennis Edward Skinner (born February 11, 1932, Clay Cross, Derbyshire) is a British politician, and Labour Member of Parliament for Bolsover since 1970.

		It seems more like the kiss of death to me. I thought Dennis was popular 20 years ago for spinning a good yarn about Margaret Thatcher and being a 'cheeky chappy' in Westminster but that isn't quite the same as having a good capacity for rhobust political analysis.
		I agree Skinner has become just part of the furniture of the Commons; I've never been impressed with his pointless interruptions in thr Commons; he should have gone a long time ago Any vestige of representing the working class interest was lost a long time ago.
		Skinner is obviously a well known figure but I don't think he's terribly representative of the broader left of the PLP.
