Phelps County is a county located in the state of Missouri, and according to the U.S. Census Bureau it includes the mean center of U.S. population in 2000.
In the county the population is spread out with 23.70% under the age of 18, 14.50% from 18 to 24, 26.10% from 25 to 44, 21.80% from 45 to 64, and 13.90% who are 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the county is $29,378, and the median income for a family is $38,693.

Dent went on to become a colonel in the Civil War, and later an aide-de-camp to President Ulysses S Grant.
King County operated the park until 2001, when a $52 million general fund shortfall led to the closure of 20 parks throughout the county.

My fathers mother [Rebecca Hamilton who married John E. Dent.] and Grandmother Elizabeth (so mentioned by her given name to distinguish her from our Grandmother Sarah, the former wife of Grandfather Ijams), were among the children who colonized to that part of Muskingum County., Ohio.
The homestead of the parents, William and Susannah, his wife, was in the fall of 1844, that of their son Rev. Samuel Hamilton, a distinguished Methodist minister, whom I well remember seeing while I was upon the visit before mentioned, and whose manly and rugged appearance, one seeing him would not be likely to forget.
Grandfather was in the State Legislature of Ohio, both in the lower house and in the senate, as dates as follow: As a member of the H.R. from Fairfield County in the 8th, 920th., and 10th., General Assemblies, 1809-1912.

The grants, which were awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Rural Development include funding for heating and cooling systems, road paving, playground equipment for victims of domestic abuse, hand held radios and well drilling and installation.
The funds will be used for paving part of the entrance road to the Dent County Fall Festival Association project known as "the Commons".
The funding from this grant will be used to replace windows and install central heat and air conditioning in the library wing of the community center.
