The Rockets came back though, and after a miss by Mobley (I call it an 'oop) that was slammed in by Cato, the Rockets led 32-27.
After the Rockets ran off 5 straight, capped by a Bullard three, the lead for the Nuggets was cut to 88-79, and after another jumper by Matt, the score was 90-81 Denver.

  Denver Nuggets - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One of 4 ABA teams that joined the NBA through a league merger in 1976, they were known as the Rockets for their first 7 years of existence, and were very strong in their early years.
Led by Dan Issel, Bobby Jones, and David Thompson, Denver (and their memorable rainbow-striped jerseys) were quite strong early on in the NBA, as they won division titles in their first two seasons in the league, and missed a third by a single game.
Denver was an also-ran for nearly a decade, and flirted with having the worst record in a season in 1997-98, winning only 11 games in an 82 game season.
