Denyse started representing Canada at 21 years old when she was selected to represent Canada at the Uber Cup final in Japan in 1981.
When Denyse participated in her last Olympic games in 2004 at 44 years old she was the eldest of the field by 13 years and she will most likely hold the record of the oldest ever badminton player in badminton at the Olympic Games.
A highlight in Denyse’s career was when she made the quarter-final in doubles with partner Johanne Falardeau at the prestigious All England in 1984 and the quarter- final at the Japan Open in 1986 again with partner Johanne Falardeau.

 Denyse Julien and Charmaine Reid Ruled off the team for the Summer Olympics
Denyse Julien won't be going to the Olympics for a third time after all.
Julien, of Rouyn-Noranda, Que., and Charmaine Reid of St. Catharines, Ont., who were named last May by Badminton Canada for the Olympics, have been ruled off the team for the Summer Games by the Canadian Olympic Association.
Julien and Reid are competitive in singles and doubles, and the badminton body felt it could include them on the team list for the Olympics.
