		The Deram Anthology is the latest compilation to collect recordings a young David Bowie cut for Decca Records between 1966 and 1968.
		At 27 tracks and 77 minute, the Deram Anthology is by far the most comprehensive account of Bowie's Decca tenure and may easily be the last word on the subject.
		The most enjoyable moments of the Deram Anthology are the ones from the latter months of his Decca tenure, which point to latter day Bowie.

		On Friday, Williamson County State's Attorney Charles Garnati announced the grand jury indictment of Justin A. Smith, 23, whom Garnati said was driving the car that struck and killed Charles T. Seiler at the intersection of 25th and Oak streets in Herrin July 28.
		Deram, Garnati said, told officers she was driving the car that was involved in the hit-and-run, information that was later discovered to be untrue.
		Deram could be sentenced to probation or receive a prison sentence of up to three years.

		Amen Corner, Frigid Pink, Ten Years After, The Flowerpot Men, Honeybus, and White Plains had hits on Deram whilst Fripp, Fripp and Giles, Keef Hartley, The Flirtations and Timebox were critically acclaimed but commerically less successful.
		Being a subsidiary of Decca, Deram labels followed a similar pattern.
		After that The Moody Blues started Threshold, their own imprint, whilst the Deram label continued until 1973 when it was disbanded.

		Story (Deram SML 1056) 1970 R1 There's also a compilation, “At Their Best” (See For Miles SEE 264, 1989), which is also available on CD (SEE CD 264).
		Signed to Decca's progressive Deram label, their debut 45 sunk without a trace but is worth checking out.
		Deram also released the title cut as a 45, backed with a previously unreleased cut.

		Only 6 years after they changed their name to Patto was a compilation of their five UK singles released as an LP, titled "The Original Moose on the Loose".
		In 1998, the Timebox recordings for the Deram label, many previously unreleased, were made available on a CD titled "The Deram Anthology".
		In 1970, Timebox changed their name to Patto, and, no longer hampered by their quest for the big hit single, began recording albums that were far more experimental and representative of the unique mix of rock and jazz music that they played in their live shows.

		This is a fantastic, long-awaited reissue of the recordings Timebox did for the Deram label.
		Update 12/31/01: The Deram Anthology CD appears to be readily available again.
		It went out of print in late 1999 after being out for less than a year, and for a time they were difficult to find.

		Beware of One Way Records release which is poorly designed, and has no sleeve notes like the Deram one, although the sound quality is OK. The Deram CD cover has been retouched, the Camel logo and the Breathless title lacking the 'smokiness' featured in the original LP.
		Deram CD version includes notes by John Tracy.
		It's been reported that the One Way Records and the Deram Japanese version are fine.

		It was agreed to postpone release of said Deram single DM 280 until immediately after Christmas, to avoid its possibly getting swamped by the usual seasonal fare, a judgement which proved sound.
		With five Top 30 notations in this green and pleasant land between 1970 and 1973, White Plains were one of Deram's most enduring acts of the period, and only one change in their line-up occurred during that time, organist Ron Reynolds taking over from Ricky Wolff.
		Two decades later, with a good proportion of that same personnel intact, White Plains are still packing 'em in on the 60s and 70s revival tours, while their beautifully produced discs of the past are seldom far from any music radio programme controller's thoughts.

	Rarebird's Ten Years After Reviews
		Not their best work, but "Turned Off T.V. Blues" and "Choo Choo Moma" still show evidence of the old fire.
		In 1972, the Deram label released an album of the band's early demos titled Alvin Lee And Company to cash in on the band's commercial success.
		Purists may object, but this is the new blood of Ten Years After -- and judging from Roadworks, they don't sound like they're finished yet.
