Topic: Derived set

Derived set (mathematics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In mathematics a derived set is a construction in point-set topology that consists of taking the set of limit points of a given subset S of a topological space.
Because homeomorphisms can be described entirely in terms of derived sets, derived sets have been used as the primitive notion in topology.
If we also require that the derived set of a set consisting of a single element be empty, the resulting spaces will be a T1 space.

Given a group G and an indexed set Y with the same cardinality as the natural G-set, return a G-set corresponding to the natural bijection between the labelling L of G and Y. Explicitly, the bijection is f: L -> Y: l -> Y[(Position)(L, l)].

Dower [3] has reported on deriving the 12-lead ECG from standard vectorcardiographic leads.  Dower [4] has also reported on deriving the 12-lead ECG from nonstandard lead-vectors described as the EASI lead set.  This study describes the derivation of the 12-lead ECG from a set of 3 leads belonging to the standard 12-lead ECG set.
AFA was also applied to a different training set of 20 ECG cases from which SOP was used to derive a universal transformation matrix.
Therefore, SOP was applied to the 3 lead set comprised of {I, aVF, V2} such that a 3 x 12 universal transformation matrix was calculated from the AFA derived training set ECG recordings.

The original gene set is used to create a number of derived input gene sets by mixing genes from the original set with a number of randomly chosen genes.
Use Intersection: When this option is ticked, the input sets are derived not from the original set, but from the intersection of the original set with the signature obtained from the original set.

The Composite Data Set is similar to the daily data in structure and is derived from the Daily Data Set, however, the process of compositing removes much of the contamination due to cloud cover present in the Daily Data Set (Holben, 1986).
The Composite Data Set is particularly useful for studies of temporal and interannual behavior of surface vegetation and for developing surface background characteristics for use in climate modeling, however, if a completely cloud free background is required, further compositing may be necessary.
Certain anomalies may exist in the data set because of conditions inherent in the input data, for example, missing scan lines or orbits, incorrect or incomplete calibration coefficients, and many of these data are flagged with the Quality control indicator.

Cantor's last two papers on set theory, Contributions to the foundations of infinite set theory, 1895/1897, give his most polished study of cardinal and ordinal numbers and their arithmetic.

The first textbook explicitly devoted to the subject of Cantor's set theory was published in 1906 in England by the Youngs, a famous husband and wife team.
