If Derry City Council are not prepared to do so, they must at least grant Derry City FC a long term lease on the venue to allow the football club to pursue other sources of finance to renovate it themselves.
We, the undersigned, believe that it is the responsibility of Derry City Council to redevelop the Brandywell Stadium into a venue which all the citizens of the city can be proud of.
The current impasse is unacceptable and Derry City and its fans must be given firm assurances on the future plans for the Brandywell.
