Some native animals in the region are the desert and white tree frog, a rock wallaby, red kangaroo, marsupial moles, red antechinus, budgerigars, port lincoln parrots, emus, womas, red drago, and spotted snakes.
Some other interesting facts that directly relate to rainfall in the Tanami Desert are that the average temp is 24-25 degrees Celcius and the highest temperatures are in Dec/Jan, due to the flip flop of seasons directly related to their positioning on Earth.
