Destiny is there shown transforming the son of Byzantine Empress Theodora into a pestilence-bearing Horseman of the Apocalypse.

As far as the DCU is concerned the Endless are Destiny Death Dream Despair Desire & Delirium (I'm not counting the Prodigal because he's retired) and wherever those forces are in any reality those beings (the Endless) are there.
In the marvel vs dc comics, the endless do not apperar, it also confirms there is an omniverse.
The Marvel vs. DC comics should really not be considered canon when establishing facts about the DC universe, let alone the Gaimanverse.

The heroes eventually defeated the valkyries, and Hitler's navy was decimated in the English Channel by the Spectre, who was then forced to journey to the Realm of the Just-Dead to rescue the soul of President Roosevelt, slain by the last of the valkyries.
The problem with the Spear of Destiny storyline as it currently stands is that the balance of power in the World War 2 story is no longer the same as it was in the pre-Crisis Earth-2 continuity where it originally began.

Joe Orlando—who rose from stenciling boxcars in post-war Germany to become one of EC Comics’ legendary artists and DC Comics’ Vice President and Editorial Director—died on December 23 in Manhattan at the age of 71.
In 1968, Orlando joined DC Comics to become the editor of its "mystery" comics line, where his work included discovering and nurturing a new generation of horror masters, including Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson (whom he helped create Swamp Thing).

As with many Tarot decks, many of the images in the DC tarot are linked not only to their DC backgrounds and Divinatory meaning, but also to the Four Natural Elements, Air, Earth, Fire, and Water.
Of course, it required throwing out the cards she was unable to relate to the comics, and otherwise had little else to indicate it as Vertigo, much less comics.
For the DC Tarot, I have created the "JLA Layout", which can be used for both divinatory and interogative purposes.

Back when they shot the original art to make the fl plate for the comics, sometimes it was over- or under- exposed, and either the fls would join together and fill in, and we'd lose detail, or the finer lines would vanish completely, and we'd lose detail.
Lots of stuff has been sent back to DC Comics over the years for the various Companions and suchlike, and it hasn't always returned safely, so some things have disappeared.
Every now and again I'll run into something I thought lost forever -- comics pages I wrote and drew when I was about 14, for example, or the drawing lesson Dave McKean faxed me before I began my 24 hour comic -- and I'll be pleasantly amazed.

It does not pretend to be an exhaustive list, but merely a starting guide to lead you to some of the best stories in the medium.
Morrison is back for 22 and 23 in a story that makes Starro terrifying, the Sandman a visitor, and Superman's quote in the middle of things going badly the best comic line of 1998.
With bits like Black Canary leading the outsiders and absolute horror at the hands of the Joker leading up to an awesome finish, this is a classic story.
