The Vipers haven't lost in regulation to Cincinnati since April 5, 1997, and they have won 12 of the last 14 games, including five in Cincinnati.
The Vipers regained their three-goal advantage at 8:52 of the third period when Jeff Whittle, from behind the Cincinnati goal, fed Mike Prokopec for a point-blank shot.
