		Deutsche Eishockey-Liga (German Hockey League, shortname DEL) is a German high-calibre ice hockey league, and has the highest number of American and Canadian players overseas.
		The DEL is based, in the 1994/95 season, from the remaining teams in the Ice hockey Bundesliga's 1st and 2nd division.
		The goal behind the DEL was to create a league, based on the model of the North American NHL, in which the teams could keep house consistently without relegation concerns.
