		We have been using MontaVista DevRocket for about a year and a half, lately at version 1.1.
		DevRocket is somewhat capable of handling smaller projects.
		In DevRocket, the very poor, slow substitute is incessant searching of the entire project with hits on comments and longer names that include the one you want, which makes searching unusable for many short names.

	MontaVista's embedded Linux app dev tools go "all-plugin"
		A PDK 5.0 product is also listed on the company's freshly updated website; however the company has not yet issued a formal statement touting PDK 5.0 availability.
		Earlier versions of the company's tools (formerly branded as "DevRocket") have relied on the CDT (C/C++ development tool) editor/IDE, which limited their ability to interoperate with Eclipse frameworks offered by other vendors.
		In its statement announcing the new tools release MontaVista claimed its ADK 5.0 to be "the most easy-to-use embedded Linux development platform available." The product has been "thoroughly enhanced and redesigned to reduce the complexity of embedded Linux application development and analysis," it added.

	Linux IDE gets update
		MontaVista currently offers the DevRocket IDE, a graphical environment that supports such tasks as code development, debugging, profiling, make-file generation and library management.
		In DevRocket, Thomas said, MontaVista modified and customized some of the Eclipse plug-ins to support better development.
		While MontaVista will continue to support older versions of DevRocket, the company expects that most customers will select the new IDE going forward, Thomas said.
