		If what you say is accurate, then the guru all the way in the left that invited Vakresvara Pandit to sit next to them, is the First Vice-Chairman of the GBC, his name is: Bhaktivaibhava swami, he is only second to the Chairman of the GBC, Devamrta swami.
		As I said, they did a little ‘musical chairs’ sort-of thing when Radhanatha Swami came in, and so the order is different in the magazine from in my picture.
		When Vakresvara was invited up, neither Radhanatha nor Bhakti Tirtha swamis were present, so it wasn’t as much an issue of making a big scene because the main program hadn’t really started yet.

	Archive of Older Stories - Pilgrim's Diary
		I have heard Indradyumna Swami is visiting the New Jersey temple in Towaco, which is about 10 miles from the place I grew up but a long way from Long Island.
		Besides making nice arrangements for my care, laundry, prasadam, etc., he also drove me around pretty much wherever we needed to go, and made nice arrangements for preaching programs, etc. Yesterday he had Devamrta Maharaja and me over for lunch at his house, which is just down the road from the temple.
		Last night after watching the beautiful golden full moon rise on the eastern horizon amid kirtan and an abhisheka of the Chaitanya-Nityananda deities, I was invited to the roof of the lotus building for a feast sponsored by Jayapataka Swami for senior devotees, sannyasis and former gurukulis.

		This Swami Bhaktipada is, of course, Kirtanananda Swami, one of the original 11 self-authorised “Zonal Gurus” who was recently released from prison after serving 8 years on racketeering charges.
		After New Vrindaban effectively began to collapse, Devamrta Swami made the career switch of returning to the ISKCON-GBC fold, where he later became a GBC voted-in Guru.

		He graciously advised me of something I was not aware of before: that remarks I've made in this journal regarding some Russian devotees and their questions have caused a degree of perplexity among a good number of readers.

		Those who normally go on Harinam were, apparently, tied up worshipping/venerating Devamrta Swami instead.
		Sad to think that he has now become "elevated" to the position of being more important than the Harinam sankirtan.
		So much for the sankirtan mission, and "empowered preachers" like Devamrta Swami, whose very presence causes the Harinam to be cancelled, and causes sankirtan devotees to run to the temple, out of obedience to him.
