	DeviantArt Raises $3.5M in Series A Funding
		DeviantArt has reportedly raised $3.5 million in Series A funding, with DivX Inc. as a listed shareholder.
		DeviantArt earns revenue through ads, selling ad-free subscriptions to members, and taking a percentage of art sold through the site.
		Considering the existing stability and effect of DeviantArt, I’m surprised it took this long for the company to raise funding.

		A concern for some deviantART members is the supposed increasing intolerance towards certain kinds of art, such as those depicting male nudity, as opposed to the female nude which is very popular on the site.

		The poetry featured on deviantART is usually insipid goth poetry about how one's own blood has been shed in a thirty-minute well-publicised self-harming stunt, and the blood shed forthwith has been used to write the very poem the writer is talking about.
		Still, this utter shite is very well-received by other stupid inane writers who wish to write about how their boyfriend hates them because they don't fit into an imaginary stereotype of the perfect woman.
