Peter Jackson CNZM (born October 31, 1961, Pukerua Bay) is a New Zealand filmmaker currently best-known as the director of the epic film trilogy The Lord of the Rings, which he, along with Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, adapted from the novel by J.
Jackson first gained attention with his "splatstick" horror comedies, and came to prominence with his movie Heavenly Creatures, for which he shared an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen with his wife, Fran Walsh.
Jackson started his career in film as a fanatical hobbyist, creating small movies with simple technical means and with the help of friends.

Jackson was the Super Bowl MVP of Super Bowl XXXVII, recording two interceptions which turned the momentum of the game in favor of the Buccaneers.
Jackson rejoined the Buccaneers in 2004, and played with them until the end of the 2005 season.

There are some screencaps on Matt C.'s site from the 99 English Grand Prix that shows Dexter had a fairly large gut even back then.
