Acid addition salts of dextrorotatory ergot alkaloids, a process for the preparation thereof as well as their use as ...
Dextrorotatory ergot alkaloids were administered in the form of methanesulfonate salt into Vena jugularis by means of an apparatus for slow infusion (B. Melsungen) in doses of 0.15, 0.45 and 1.5 mg/kg of body weight.
The effect of dextrorotatory ergot alkaloids according to the invention on heart in vitro was examined on isolated heart of a guinea pig by the modified Langendorff's method (Zalar et al., Poll.
Said dextrorotatory alkaloids in the form of their physiologically compatible acid addition salts are used as medicines for enteral and parenteral administration.

 Perkin Transactions 1 Articles
The required, dextrorotatory, enantiomer of the cyclohexanediol (±)-8 has been obtained by selective saponification of the mixture of the diastereoisomers 10 and 11, to give the mandelates 12 and 13, followed by crystallisation of the required diastereoisomer 12.
Saponification of 12 gives the dextrorotatory enantiomer of the cyclohexanediol (+)-8 [which could alternatively have been obtained directly from the racemic diol (±)-8 using (R)-acetylmandelate ent-9].
Conditions have been developed for the Wittig reactions between the hydroxybutenolides 29 and 3 and the phosphonium salt 2 to give the esters 32 and 37 after esterification using diazomethane and iodine induced isomerisation of the 10,11-double bond.

 Ameriden - Olive leaf extract
As mentioned before elenolic acid does have stereochemistry and the dextrorotatory molecule of elenolic acid does not blood serum protein bind, remaining virucidal.
It was further noted by Cruess that it is beta-glucosidase that hydrolyzes Oleuropein to the (+) dextrorotatory form of elenolic acid, which we now know, does not blood serum protein bind.
For every molecule of Oleuropein concentrated from olive leaf extract, when consumed, seven molecules of dextrorotatory elenolic acid and one molecule of levorotatory elenolic acid are produced.

Process for the production of stable curdled milk products - Patent 4435432
The process achieves this purpose in that the raw milk material is inoculated with a bacterial culture of Bifido bacterium longum C Kl 1969 (DSM 2054) strain.
A further problem which is encountered in the utilization of bacteria cultures which do not contain mixtures of the different types of material, but only one or more strains of a single type of bacteria, is the danger of attack by phages.
In a usual inoculating culture, the inventive strain is contained within a nutrient medium constituted of yeast autolysate, peptone obtained from casein, dextrose, milk and water in a cell count of a total of 1.times.10.sup.9 cells/ml of nutrient medium.

Basic Molecular Modelling - Description of configuration
The amount by which a plane of polarized light is rotated is measured in a polarimeter.
If a beam of polarized light is rotated to the right, in a clockwise direction, then the compound is said to be dextrorotatory.
Dextrorotatory compounds are also designated D or + (plus).

 Chirality and Optical Activity
Thus, it isn't surprising that levorotatory compounds are indicated with a negative sign (-).and dextrorotatory compounds are with a positive sign (+).
The "D" in the symbol for specific rotation indicates that it is light of this wavelength that was studied.
Finally, the magnitude of this measurement indicates that when a solution of this compound with a concentration of 1.00 g/mL was studied in a 10-cm cell, it rotated the light by 3.12.

Compounds that rotate light clockwise are called dextrorotatory; those that rotate light counterclockwise are termed levorotatory.
Dextrorotatory compounds are designated with the (+) descriptor in their chemical names; levorotatory compounds are designated with the (-) symbol.
For the dextrorotatory form, the R isomer, the dex-/dextro- prefix is used (e.g.

R-configured enantiomers may be dextrorotatory or levorotatory just as S-configured enantiomer may be either.
Identify whether this is a dextrorotatory or levorotatory isomer and determine the specific rotation.

 Inversion of sucrose
The angle of rotation of polarized light passing through the solution is measured using a polarized beam of He-Ne laser and polarizer.
Sucrose is dextrorotatory, but the resulting mixture of glucose and fructose is slightly levorotatory because the levorotatory fructose has a greater molar rotation than the dextrorotatory glucose.
As the sucrose is used up and the glucose-fructose mixture is formed, the angle of rotation to the right (as the observer looks in the direction opposite to that of the light propagation) becomes less and less, and finally the light is rotated to the left.
