Dhaka College Batch of 65-67 met on Thursday evening at Neelabithi, Savar, a picnic spot far from the madding crowd, reports BSS.
Though the students of the batch are now at their mid-50s, at Neelabithi they went back to their college days, together with their spouses, some of whom have already become grand fathers and grand mothers.
Neelabithi, a beautiful picnic spot covering an area of 32- bigha land became vibrant with the presence of the old students of Dhaka College, many of whom are now well established in different professions, including teaching, civil and military bureaucracy and journalism.

Sources said that the colleges would face a huge pressure to select the students for admission in the backdrop that the number of students who got good GPA standing including 5, 4.94 is much more comparing to the seats the leading colleges accommodate.

The Bishop of calcutta laid the foundation stone in 1841, when the school was raised to the status of a college, and the buildings were completed in 1946.
In order to accommodate physics and chemistry laboratories, the college was removed in 1873 to a commodious building to the east of victoria park.
From there it was shifted in 1908 to the curzon hall while the science departments were housed in the chemistry building of the university of dhaka.

The channel showed the footage of three dead men at the Dhaka Medical College hospital where total chaos prevailed and two unexploded grenades near the venue of the rally in down town Dhaka.
There was blood and sandals strewn across the street in front of the main office of the Awami League in downtown Dhaka, the venue of the meeting, a reporter at the scene said.
