		When the Circle Line opens later, this station will be the only MRT station in Singapore to be an interchange station for all three lines and the largest MRT station in Singapore.
		The station is the only MRT station with travellators in it.
		Originally it was only a station on the North South Line but as of the opening of the North East Line, it became the interchange station for these two lines.

		Therefore, it is generally unlikely that these Stations would be deemed out of date by the time they are opened for revenue service as regardless of whether the machines in these Stations were installed 5 years ago or 5 years later, they would still be using the same system.
		In addition to the reasons that had been stated earlier, personally, I would rather Stations be built ahead of time (around a maximum of 5 years) while the surroundings are still relatively undeveloped rather than when they are fully developed which would then result in high noise and air pollution during the period of construction.
