I have never had dhokla, but a recipe that comes recommended might be what I was waiting for.
I have never tried making dhokla at as i thought it was very difficult to make.

DHOKLA is a dish which Gujarat is famous for.
I have asked to use fruit salt separately from Thali to Thali because it should not lose the gas while the first installment is being cooked otherwise the second installment of Dhoklas would not be as spongy as the first one.
Dhoklas are to be eaten with Kothumalli/phudina chutney.You can enjoy the same with your tea or coffee.

Instant dhokla will not have a sour taste as it is not fermented, the ones sold in the market are the ones which are actually made of fermented flour so you get the sour taste.
After you made the batter from the instant mix, let it ferment overnight before you steam-cook the dhokla.
Keep the dhokla batter for about 1/2 an hour to 1 hour and then make your dhoklas.

My first recipe which I contributed was Potato and Bread Chat and I hope you all liked it.
Now take all the ingredients of the dhokla batter and mix it nicely in a dish.
Then heat little oil and put mustard seeds till they crackle and also the green chillies and the curry patta and put on top of the dhokla.
