Dhuhr prayer starts a few minutes before lunch ends at my school, and I am reluctant on being late to my third period class to pray.
Islam, however, teaches us that in circumstances such as the one you have described, we are certainly allowed to do the absolute minimum obligatory Prayer, which in the case of Dhuhr is four rak’ahs of fard; it can very well be done in a mater of five minutes.
So you must never hesitate in performing dhuhr before proceeding to your next class; you are allowed to postpone it only if you are certain that you can safely catch dhuhr after your class.

Having dealt with what you have heard from people who have no knowledge, but who are unfortunately in the position of "imaams," as you said, we move on to the basic issue of offering salaat al-dhuhr after salaat al-jumu’ah.
Our answer to this question is that the truth is the opinion of the scholars, most of whom say that there is no basis in sharee’ah for offering dhuhr prayer after jumu’ah prayer if a person has prayed jumu’ah.
The one who misses jumu’ah or does not attend it because it is not an obligation for him or her, such as women, sick people or travellers, must pray dhuhr.

The second opinion states that the time for the Friday prayer is not exactly the same as that of the dhuhr prayer and it is permissible to perform the Friday prayer before the time of dhuhr.
Hence, there are a significant number of scholars, especially those from the Hanbali madhhab, who look upon the timing for Salatul Jumuah as being anytime from the time of the Eid salat (essentially after sunrise) until the time of salatul asr.
