Winner of the Fantasy Stakes, Santa Ysabel Stakes and Autumn Days Handicap, Jeanne Jones was upset by Epitome in the 1987 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Hollywood Park and also finished second in the 1988 Kentucky Oaks.
Highweighted sprinter at three on the English Free Handicap, he won the 1996 New Jersey Stakes at Ascot and was second in the graded July Cup and Diadem Stakes.

Sir Michael Stoute's Notnowcato, who had won the Brigadier Gerard Stakes over course and distance earlier in the season, stayed for second place ahead of Blue Monday, who proved that the decision to supplement him for this contest was justified.

And to judge by his pedigree, improvement is likely as his eight-year-old full brother Grass Wonder was beaten a short head when second in a group one race in Tokyo back in 1999 and his four-year-old full sister Wonder Again took a grade one fillies handicap at Belmont Park is September of last year.
