DEGETTE: Well, let me say, the easiest way to fix this problem would be for the President to simply amend his policy, and we continue to have discussions with the White House about that.

DeGette picked up additional fl support in the primary when a third candidate, Les Franklin, who is fl and the former head of Democratic Gov. Roy Romer's job training office, gave up his primary bid and encouraged his supporters to vote for DeGette, who is white.
