U.S. peace activist Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, said she was considering running for office against Sen. Diane Feinstein while she waited for the California lawmaker to back a filibuster of Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito.
Sheehan issued her statement Friday, the same day Feinstein announced she would support the filibuster, despite saying earlier this month that she did not see anything to justify one.
"I'm appalled that Diane Feinstein wouldn't recognize how dangerous Alito's nomination is to upholding the values of our constitution and restricting the usurpation of presidential powers, for which I've already paid the ultimate price," Sheehan said in the statement.

Senator Diane Feinstein, (D-CA) tried for a second time, in round two to get Alito to give her an idea on what he thought about Roe vs. Wade, (young women, pay attention, this women is fighting for you) to no avail.
While even admitting that she was 'trying again' to get some definitive answer out of Judge Alito regarding Roe vs. Wade, Senator Diane Feinstein could not get anything out of him.
She made a good opening statement saying that Roe vs. Wade has endured 38 tests and 33 years of being the law of the land but Judge Alito would not agree that it was 'settled' law if settled law meant that it could not be revisited.
