No, the real reason I had to have the album is because de Haas includes two songs from Rose-Colored Glasses, the musical that Strayhorn and Luther Henderson began in 1954 but never completed.
Oh--and I have an album, Salome Bey Sings "Dude", that contains 12 songs completely different from the 14 recorded on the made-after-the-fact cast album of Dude.
I also own a Sammy Davis album with two songs cut from Golden Boy; a Michele Lee album with one song from Kelly; a Lena Horne album with the title tune from Pleasures and Palaces; a Tony Bennett album with one song cut from Do I Hear a Waltz?

entertainment.iafrica.com music latest releases The Diary of Alicia Keys
Keys’ follow-up album is a seamless piece of work; a sultry groove-filled album that will astound the listener with her powerful yet seductive voice and insightful, original song-writing.
With the eponymous title, 'Diary', it makes full use of smooth, late-night bass lines and Keys’ sultry voice, but with the three Tony’s vocal contribution limited to some subtle backing it is less of a collaboration than one would expect from such greats of the ‘80s New York music scene.
As the album title suggests, each song is intended as a snapshot of her life and throughout the album you get the distinct feeling that she is spilling her thoughts and emotions onto the page with each song.

Alicia Keys: The Diary of Alicia Keys - PopMatters Music Review
This not to say that The Diary of Alicia Keys is a bad recording -- it clearly evinces Keys's growth as an artist since Songs in A Minor, but rather the project is clearly laboring to be relevant to the current marketplace and thus suffers from a serious lack of cohesion.
Given the significant drop off of quality songs after the first two singles (in defense many were written while she was still a teen), the obvious fear is that The Diary of Alicia Keys would be little more than Songs in A Minor 2 -- the record industry is run by people with less ambitions.
Because Keys was initially championed as an "organic" musical prodigy, there were obvious pressures in the making of The Diary of Alicia Keys for her to make her musical vision most prominent.

Raja's Web Den: Ozzy Osbourne - BIOGRAPHY
Osbourne heard the album he asked John, "Are you sure you were just drinking alcohol?, this isn't music, this is weird." The first song began with a church bell tolling and the sound of rain falling in the background, and was eerie to say the least.
The Diary tour was nicknamed Night of the Living Dead tour due to various misfortunes: The entire band was expelled from a San Diego over Ozzy's reputation, the prop truck broke down, and in Minneapolis a crane fell and crushed $8000 worth of synthesizers.
This is probably the album that was supposed to be released after Diary of a Madman.

§3. Early Popular Song. XXVII. Oral Literature. Vol. 18. Later National Literature, Part III. The Cambridge History of English and American Literature: An Encyclopedia in Eighteen Volumes. 1907–21
An early mention of popular song in America occurs in an entry in the diary of Cotton Mather for 27 September, 1713:
Most songs, of either type, in the period before the Revolution, were probably imported, either orally or in broadside versions; but there were also historical pieces that were indigenous.
Doubtless many legendary and romantic ballads were brought from England by the colonists, but probably Mather’s “foolish songs and ballads” did not refer to these but rather to convivial, sentimental, or humorous ditties, the street pieces or broadsides popular in the mother country.

 Ink 19 :: Guadalcanal Diary
Guadalcanal Diary was one of the premier guitar pop bands of the '80s, traversing a musical style similar to the Connells and R.E.M. with a bit more rock thrown into the mix.
Plenty of classic Guadalcanal songs are included on Birthday Party, including "Pretty is as Pretty Does," "Likes of You," "Litany," "Watusi Rodeo," and the delightfully oddball "Vista." Aside from some faster pacing and a few verbal asides, there isn't a great deal of departure on the songs from their recorded versions.
There is one new song, "Pau Pau," written and sung entirely by bassist Rhett Crowe.

Leon Berger's George Grossmith Recital Discs
All told, Grossmith wrote 18 operettas, nearly 100 musical sketches, some 600 songs and piano pieces, and three books (including the highly popular The Diary of a Nobody, co-authored with his brother Weedon).
This is not background music, but depends for its effect on listening carefully to every word: thankfully, all of the songs come across clearly, thanks to Leon Berger's superb diction, even in the patter songs.
There are two songs from Haste to the Wedding (with words by Gilbert) and, of course, the celebrated "See Me Dance the Polka." A well-illustrated and informative booklet is included written by me ("You must stir it and stump it,/ And blow your own trumpet").

 Berlin Fragments
When Judy Bellingham approached me in 1991 to write a song cycle for her, I immediately wanted to set extracts from the 'Berlin Diary', to capture these layers of dramatic historical irony along with the essence of a marvellous text.
In reality I was able to only set a fraction of the diary to music, and hence the title of my work - 'Berlin Fragments' (which I would also like to think suggests the breaking of the Berlin wall into bits).
I don't pretend to have matched the emotional depth and subtlety of Cilla's 'Berlin Diary', but I hope that my piece offers a personal response to the images and ideas of the text.

ShellShock: Nam '67 Designer Diary 3 - PlayStation 2 News at GameSpot
This is a prime example of how we reflected Vietnam combat in Shellshock, as it was more often the case that enemy soldiers didn't immediately die from their wounds, and we wanted the player to realize the consequences of their actions.
The player's ability closely mirrors that of the GI's in the late '60s, enabling them to use rocks, trees, walls, and contours of the ground to supplement their combat abilities.
As we applied, tweaked, and tested all of the factors mentioned above, we built up the combat gameplay in Shellshock NAM 67 to be realistic, but more importantly, fun to play.

Sunny Day Real Estate : Diary - Listen, Review and Buy at ARTISTdirect
Yet, while Diary's true heart lies in its soaring, introspective anthems (like the band's signature song, "In Circles"), the more tortured, visceral moments balance things out, preventing the album from wallowing in melodramatic self-obsession.
For all intents and purposes, Diary was the album that made emo accessible, fusing its gnarled guitars and nakedly emotional vocals with more than a hint of melodic Seattle grunge.
In retrospect, Diary doesn't quite fulfill all of its ambitions -- there are a few underfocused moments that don't achieve the epic sweep of the album's best compositions.
