Diceware passphrases can be easily calculated: each word adds 12.9 bits of entropy to the passphrase (that is, log2(6^5) bits).
Diceware passphrases can be difficult to remember and some may prefer other methods, such as using the initial letters of a memorable phrase.
If the length of Diceware passphrases are assumed to be known to an attacker, then passphrases yields less entropy than the idea 64.62 bits when used with dictionaries containing variable-length words.

There is a rather simple and ingenious solution to generating a password that offers real security and is relatively easy to remember: Diceware.
Diceware then has a wordlist with precisely that many words, so your word is chosen from the list depending on the roll.
Also, Diceware recommends using "real" physical dice instead of a computer random number generator because the latter is generally recognized as having some inherent bias (non-randomness), which will vary according on the algorithm.

Being able to pick a good password is an important step in any computer security environment.
(No, “pre$ident” is not a good password.) While it’s kind of overkill for many situations, I really like the idea behind diceware, a method of generating good passphrases (longer, but probably easier to remember than good passwords) with dice.

Sounds like you are considering a variation of the Diceware Passphrase approach.
The advantage of using the Diceware method is that you can quickly and easily create strong passwords that can actually be remembered.
I suppose Diceware would be a good way to generate my master password, but I'm already using another system for that.
