Valdir Pereira or Didì (October 8, 1929-May 12, 2001) was a Brazilian midfield football player who played in three World Cups: in 1954, and winning in 1958 and 1962.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, he was famous for being and intelligent player and for his "folha seca" ("falling leaf") free kicks, where the ball will swerve seemingly downwards at the right time resulting in a goal.

Charlton was born in October, 1937, into a football family in the Northumberland mining village of Ashington.
His mother Cissie was a Milburn, his grandfather and four of his uncles were professional footballers and one of those uncles was the legendary "Wor" Jackie Milburn, Newcastle United and England centre forward.

A player may also sell the dummy by deceiving the opposition into believing he is going to give the ball to one team-mate when in fact he sends it to another or keeps it himself, perhaps for a shot on goal, the dummy in those cases being a team-mate rather than himself.

In 1950, he became the first player to score at the Maracana, built for the 1950 World Cup which Brazil hosted, in a match between a Rio de Janeiro XI and a Sao Paulo XI.
The Peruvians delighted the world with their effervescent football and might have gone further than the last eight had they not had the misfortune to meet Brazil's Pele-inspired team in a quarter-final which Brazil won 4-2.
