Estos conceptos son de gran relevancia para poder inferir y comprender la situación histórica de Chile que se da con Diego Portales en la historia socio-cultural del país, como también son de gran importancia para poder describir ciertos procesos históricos que se vislumbran a través de esta perspectiva.
Es necesario aplicar dichos conceptos en Diego Portales y en su concepción de orden, para poder ver su relevancia y trascendencia en la historia de Chile, y así discutirla y analizarla.
La sensibilidad de Portales fue más allá: supo y pudo articular lo viejo con lo nuevo en favor de lo que a él le parece lo mejor para mantener orden y poder.
