		Digital Betacam, AKA Digibeta or D-Beta, was introduced by Sony in 1993 as a replacement for the analog Betacam SP format.
		Digital Betacam was superior in performance to DVCam and DVCPro, while being cheaper than D1.

		You can only record in the digital betacam format on a digibeta vtr...
		If you put in analog, it will be converted to digital But some machines can also play the sp format - and I've heard of a machine that also can play sx - but if it's on the market yet I don't know...
