	Digital Underground - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Digital Underground is an alternative rap group hailing from Oakland, California.
		Heavily influenced by the various funk bands of the 1970s, Digital Underground sampled their music frequently, which quickly became a defining element of west-coast rap.
		Saafir was also a member of Digital Underground and went on to release several solo albums.

		Only two years after Tommy Boy released their Digital Underground comp, No Nose Job, Rhino chimes in with theirs, a 14 track affair that is dynamite, to be sure, but a pointless purchase for owners of the Tommy Boy disc.
		Whether the repeats are exactly the same mixes is another question, but it would have been nice to have some coverage of Digital's post-Tommy Boy career, which may not be considered their prime, but still produced some cool music.
		That aside, let me speak directly to people who don't own No Nose Job and are thinking a Digital Underground collection might be in their future.

		Once again, the lyrics are hit and miss: "No Nose Job" is a witty jab at fl assimilationists, and "Heartbeat Props" has a heartfelt message of solidarity, but "Good Thing We're Rappin'" is an overlong dirty-talk rant.
