		While Dillinger Four extols the charms of Armstrong ("I told him I was in themood for jerk chicken, and he bought me a whole chicken," Costello said), 7-inch singles, 30-minute sets and its desire to play any venue filled with real music fans, the group is steadfast in its pursuit of how to be punk.
		Dillinger Four found enough supporters across the musical spectrum to be named artist of the year at the 21st annual Minnesota Music Awards Monday night at First Avenue in Minneapolis.

		After listening to Dillinger Four for a while now, something has finally donned on me. I remember when I had heard their first album, and was struck that their moniker conjured up visions of some kind of thrashy hardcore band, yet I was pleasantly surprised at their unique blend of pop, hardcore and melodic punk.
		Dillinger Four have an incredible way of drawing from an abundance of sounds, yet remaining so uniquely engaging that they have in essence created another style of the pop-punk mix altogether.
		Dillinger Four are so masterful in their conviction that songs like the incredibly bizarre "Total Fucking Gone Song", which has some really unique chord progressions amid RFTC stylings, come across suprisingly natural.

		I'd had a shitty record player that would skip unless I balanced a penny on the head of the needle, holding it there with my finger, careful to apply no force.
		The record player was also in front of a drafty window, and it was cold outside, but I'd sit there for twelve minutes every day, balancing the penny, feeling the cold, and jamming to D4's four songs.
		The lyrics were about the weird people you meet when you utilize public transportation, about overeducated people struggling at menial jobs and thinking about rich politicians, about being disaffected by politics and religion.

		I'm just going around and reviewing dillinger four albums cause they're my favorite band.
		This album is beautiful, so buy it or buy another one of their albums, but for christ's sake, don't let another minute pass without hearing these guys if you never have before!
