		Jefferson County is a county located in the state of Ohio.
		In the county, the population was spread out with 21.40% under the age of 18, 8.50% from 18 to 24, 25.60% from 25 to 44, 25.90% from 45 to 64, and 18.60% who were 65 years of age or older.
		The median income for a household in the county was $30,853, and the median income for a family was $38,807.

		STEUBENVILLE -- Ohio authorities are investigating the death this week of a 2-year-old son of a Steubenville-area woman charged 19 months ago with child endangerment in a case of severe sunburn that made international headlines.
		Jefferson County Sheriff Fred J. Abdalla said yesterday that his office was investigating Timothy's death with the assistance of the county's Children Services Board and the Cuyahoga County coroner's office.
		A spokesperson for Jefferson County's Juvenile Court said Judge Sam Kerr gave the county's Children's Services temporary custody of the four surviving children at a hearing on Tuesday, but he did not deal with the issue of visitation.

		The northern portion of this property was originally constructed as a narrow guage in 1875.
		During 1901 and 1902 the road was extended to Dillonvale, passing through the extensive coal fields now being developed by the Lake Erie, Alliance and Wheeling Coal Company, The Eastern Ohio Coal Company, The Ohio and Pennsylvania Coal Company, and The United States Coal Company.
