  Dirigible (1931)
This is a must-see film for people like me. I am a history teacher and love aviation and especially dirigibles.
Here, fortunately, is a homage to America's rather ill-fated dirigible service operated by the US Navy.
The aerial sequences are generally quite good and a lot of actual footage was rather seamlessly integrated into the film--in particular, the amazing Aviation Day sequence where two dirigibles and many non-rigid airships fill the screen.

  * dirigible * - the history of "dirigible" - airship
His dirigible could fly only during calm weather because, by then, a strong enough motor, the dirigible’s starting device that would overcome everything stronger than a light breeze, had not been invented yet.
Their dirigibles will be able to fly at heights above 20,000 meters and control US boundaries at sea since they will be equipped with radars that can cover around 2000 square kilo- meters.
This travel "dirigible" of ours is already in use, it is flying over and will continue to fly over our country (indeed, a bit smaller and with a different name) and the rest of the planet.

However a Dirigible in an otherwise unoccupied SC at the end of a Spring or Fall turn may chose to devastate that SC.
In Spring a German Dirigible moved to Bre which was unoccupied by English units and chose to devastate therefore England's SP count for that year is only 20 SP for Lon, Lpl, Edi and Bel.
A Dirigible may not be built in a home SC that is occupied by another Dirigible (of any nationality), however a ground unit may be built if a) the country can build and b) the SC is not devastated

Dirigible (1931)   (Site not responding. Last check: )
A love triangle is at the heart of this story, and it's pretty routine.
But the film is sort of interesting because dirigibles have sort of a mystic attraction in the era of jets.
This film is pre-Hindenburg, so the people of the time were still attracted to them, too.

Dirigible was the 1931 edition of this old chestnut, with navy pilots Jack Holt and Ralph Graves battling over the affections of Fay Wray.
The in-flight footage during this scene and the subsequent rescue is remarkable, making up for the banality of the romantic subplot.
Much of Dirigible was filmed at Lakehurst, New Jersey, where the era of passenger airships would come to a fiery end six years later with the Hindenberg.
