 ComputerBase - Lexikon: Discogs

E-mail addresses for the artists, where possible, are listed in the discogs and on their own pages.
Writing the discog as a text file allows it to easily be posted to a newsgroup and read on any computer using the simplest of programs—a text reader.
The discogs have been written and maintained with BBEdit Lite and BBEdit (full version), which I heartily recommend to all Mac users.

Discogs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Classical and world/folk music were to be supported starting in October 2006, but that has been put on hold pending database restructuring issues still being discussed.
On the Discogs homepage there is information indicating the number of releases, labels, and artists presently in the database.
Although Discogs terms of service did not allow accessing the site via a robot[4], a number of tag editors have been released that support the Discogs database.

do big websites like discogs put little mom and pop websites out of business? - erutufon|nofuture
i do use discogs-- to look through information quickly, but i go to official sites to be more complete.
and what i liked about sonicgroove and kompaktiste was the information was compiled from a person's (or store's) personal collection so it's a primary source, whereas discogs it's a lot of people putting together the info and im less sure about where that info came from.
discogs is good for a quick check, then go to their website link.

Most of the Hypnos catalog is already on discogs (I've added several).
And if anyone has titles not included in discogs - encourage them to create them there.
I think this would be a great repository for reviews, user comments, recommendations, if you like this album - you'll like this one, all the things that can be done in a wiki by a knowledgeable user base that will likely grow around this site.
